Pick some flowers

Live a little. Grab a basket and go running through some rolling fields in spring and pick some wild flowers together, roll around in the grass and have some fun. After all you are a wild flower aren't you?

 

Take a sunset sail

If you live near water you can often charter a sailboat for an evening cruise. Usually for a small fee some boat owner will be willing to help you create a memorable date. If you happen to have a boat – you are all set.

 

Go camping together

There's nothing more romantic than a camping date out in mother nature. Be sure however, to know each other's tolerance for the great outdoors. Some like the kind of camping where you are basically living in a hotel, while others like to rough it survival style. Make sure you are both on the same page.

 

 

See something historic

Impress your date with your vast knowledge. Take him or her to a place of historic interest – perhaps the Eiffel Tower? However, if you can't get to France, get somewhere more local. There has to be something historical within driving distance.

See a light show

There's nothing like a little psychedelic fun on your date. Perhaps your local observatory, museum or science center puts on a light show. Light shows can sometimes be found in local parks as well. Independance Day is the best day to see spectacular light shows, and Fireworks make for a great date atmosphere.

 

 

Learn to Salsa

For something a little on the hot and spicy side, take Salsa dance lessons together. You just have to be sure that the instructor doesn't take over where you should be leaving off. After all, Salsa dancing is hot-hot-hot.

 

Carve a heart in a tree

Nothing is more romantic on a date then grabbing a knife and immortalizing your time together by carving it into the side of a tree. This is a very romantic 'old school' gesture - beware of hurting the tree, though.

 

Drink some champagne

For a more elegant and classy evening together, simply kick back with a bottle of your favorite bubbly. Take turns making up toasts and finally, be sure to toast to each other. After all, that is the whole point, isn't it?

 

Run together

Go for a nice brisk jog together through a scenic area, such as the foothills of nearby mountains. When you two need a break, be sure to take a few breathers. When you need a little love, nothing beats a kiss at the foothills of a beautiful mountain.
