Regis Philbin Expecting First Grandchild

August 2007 Regis Philbin will soon be a grandpa. Earlier this month, Regis' wife, Joy, was filling in for co-host, Kelly Ripa, announced that their daughter, J.J. Philbin, is pregnant and is due in February. Regis' daughter, J.J., was a writer on "The O.C." and "SNL."  Is it romantic being a celebrity grandparent?

Teddy Celeb "Oh, yes, of course grandparents are romantic.  You know it was my grandparents that raised me.  Over all, I would have to say 'Go Regis'.  He is still energetic and will make a nice romantic grandfather.  I don't put him up there with Clint Eastwood at his age, but Regis is not bad. After all, romance never gets old." That last phrase is on the mark.

Sharon Moore "A grandfather can be romantic, as in old worldly and chivalric and stuff like that.  I doubt they can be sexy.  I mean even Hugh Heffner can't be that at his age.  Although, I do think every age has its own unique beauty." Interesting point!

Joe "Papa" Razzi "Yes, they can be and they often are.  Romance is a function of attitude and experience and grandparents are usually all heavy on the experience factor.  I mean they are old as dirt after all." So close to being classy, Joe.  So close.
