on the slate for '04's, Australian beauty (not to mention
Nicole Kidman pal) Naomi Watts, appears to be heading for
stardom. Will romance follow her rising stock?
We asked our panel of experts
for their take on what could be the birth of a new romantic
star from the land of Oz. Here is what they had to

"Yes, I buy her as a legitimate
romantic celebrity. She is very emotionally raw and
this translates well on the big screen. I loved her in that
"Ring" movie, pretty freaky if you ask me.
If she lands that new part in Peter Jackson's Kong movie
the sky is the limit. She will be a household name
- just like I am now."

"We are surely witnessing
the rise of something special. She is talented and
pure. I know she is with Heath Ledger but I don't
see that lasting too long, I think he is too young
for her. They will eventually gravitate apart - I
just have that feeling, but for now - hey, I am all thumbs
up." |

"So many things can happen
between now and then - so what are you going to do?
It is all a roll of the dice if you ask me. You need
some luck when it comes to romance or you simply end up
a beauty school drop out like me."
