Clooney's Bid To End Writers' Strike

January 2008

George Clooney has offered to act as a mediator between the Writers Guild of America (WGA) union members and Hollywood bosses in a bid to end the strikes. The writers have been on picket lines since November, bringing production on Hollywood movies to a standstill and causing a number of TV networks to release staff and air repeat shows. The strike also forced the organizers of this year's Golden Globes ceremony to cancel the event after actors threatened to boycott.

Joe "Papa" Razzi

"I like George Clooney because he knows how to draw attention to causes – and himself for that matter.  He is still a hot romantic attraction no matter what."

Hard to argue with that, Joe.

Sharon Moore

"It's about time somebody did something about this writer's strike.  Thankfully, it doesn't affect us here at Romances.com.  That's because we're all a bunch of untalented hacks."

Speak for yourself, Sharon.

Teddy Celeb

"I don't know. I think George needs to calm down a bit.  He can't change the world.  It's nice that he wants to try, but he can't.  Not even Joe Papa can do that – even though he thinks he can."

Enough with the Joe digs, Teddy.
