Britney Returns To Stage
September 2007
Britney Spears attempted a career comeback at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night with an opening number featuring her new single "Gimme More." So far the reviews aren't flattering. She seemed listless and uninspired, not to mention a little on the heavy side.
We asked our panel of celebrity gossip experts if there is any hope for bringing Britney back, or if her comeback has come up short.

"I think it is way too early to tell how successful her comeback may be. Plus, what is she coming back from – being a bimbo? I thought that was how she rolled? Who knows, I guess. Will this one performance do the trick? Doubtful. All as she did the entire evening was walk around the stage. She didn't even seem to care what she was doing."
Agreed.

"Well, in my humble opinion, it takes real effort for a potential comeback to be a successful comeback. It took her a while to ruin her romantic value with those K-Fed shenanigans. Now it will take her even longer to get it back. Their show really sucked also… It really didn't help."
Wow. Such a humble opinion.

"I really think Britney should concentrate on making her comeback as a mother first. She has to look after her children and start being a good example before she can go back to being successful on stage again. Maybe a tour will be the first step in the right direction. Her performance wasn't even on par with "American Idol" contestants that didn't make the first cut. Her performance was so lame."
Oops! She did it again, huh, Roxy?
