July 2007 Angelina Jolie plays the part of Mariane Pearl, wife of the late Daniel Pearl, who was beheaded by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002. Jolie seems to revel in political-minded films as of late and seems to pick them carefully. Can a politically-minded and activist-oriented actress strike romantic appeal? Or, must they be flakey?
